Introduction
Please read these terms carefully before using our website at www.citorank.com (the "Website") or the CitoRank app available from the Shopify App Store (the "App"). By accessing the Website or installing and using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, you should not use the Website or the App.
Any reference to "you" or "your" means you as a user of the Website or a merchant using the App. Any reference to "we", "us" or "our" is to Lincado Ltd.
About us
We are Lincado Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08245344, with our registered office at Sigma House, Oak View Close, Edginswell Park, Torquay, Devon, TQ2 7FF, United Kingdom. We operate this Website and the App.
The service
CitoRank measures how AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini — cite and rank your Shopify store's products for buyer-intent queries, and produces recommendations intended to help you improve that visibility. The App connects to your store through Shopify's official APIs, imports your product catalogue, queries the AI models on your behalf and presents the results in a dashboard.
Usage is metered in Credits. Monthly plan Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. One-time top-up bundles do not expire. Auto top-ups, where enabled, are billed through Shopify up to the cap you approve at install.
Billing and cancellation
All billing runs through your Shopify account: subscriptions, auto top-ups and one-time bundles appear on your existing Shopify invoice. We never see your payment card details. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your Shopify admin under Settings → Apps → CitoRank; there are no contracts and no cancellation fees. For billing queries we cannot resolve through Shopify, contact billing@citorank.com.
Your use of the Website and the App
The contents of the Website may be used for your own personal or business evaluation of CitoRank, but not otherwise reproduced for commercial purposes without our permission. You agree not to use the Website or the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, nor to do anything that may damage our servers, systems or equipment or those of third parties, nor to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any of them.
You must not misuse the Website or the App by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms or other malicious or technologically harmful material, and you must not attack them via denial-of-service attacks. Breaching this provision may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990; we will report breaches to the relevant law enforcement authorities. You may not screen-scrape, spider or reproduce content from the Website or the App for any competitive purpose.
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate access to the Website or the App where, in our reasonable opinion, these terms have been breached.
Availability
We aim to keep the Website and the App available at all times, but we cannot promise they will be free from errors or interruptions. Either may be suspended temporarily and without notice for system failure, maintenance or repair, or for reasons beyond our reasonable control. The underlying AI models are operated by third parties (OpenAI, Anthropic and Google); their availability, behaviour and pricing are outside our control, and audit scheduling may shift when those services degrade.
Results are measurements, not promises
CitoRank reports what the AI models actually say at the time we query them, and recommends actions based on that evidence. AI model outputs change between runs, between model versions and between regions. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, citation, visibility score or commercial outcome from following a recommendation. Recommendations are provided as information, not as advice on which reliance should be placed without your own judgement.
Your data
We process information about you and your store in accordance with our privacy & cookie policy. By using the Website or the App, you consent to that processing. You retain all rights in your store's catalogue and data; you grant us the licence needed to process it for the purpose of providing the service.
Intellectual property
Save for your store data and third-party content, we are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Website and the App, including their text, graphics, logos, page layout, underlying code and software. Those works are protected by intellectual property laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. The names, images and logos identifying CitoRank or Lincado Ltd are proprietary marks and may not be reproduced without express permission.

You may link to our home page provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage or take advantage of our reputation, but you must not suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement where none exists. Where the Website or the App contains links to other websites — including the sources cited in recommendations — those links are provided for your information only; we have no control over their contents and accept no responsibility for them.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Nothing in these terms restricts your statutory rights.
Subject to that, we will not be liable for loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings or loss of data, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if foreseeable. Our maximum aggregate liability to you in relation to the App in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us through Shopify in that period.
The material displayed on the Website is provided "as is" without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
General
We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Website or the App after a change constitutes acceptance of it. If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall be deemed deleted without affecting the remaining provisions. No joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between you and us as a result of these terms.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
